Governance

Smart is a private limited company. The board meets formally six times a year, to set Smart’s strategy and oversee its execution, and to make sure good governance is at the heart of what we do.

There are sub-committees within the board, each responsible for a different aspect of our governance. Find out more about our board.

Audit and risk sub-committee

The audit and risk sub-committee looks at how effective our audit process and internal control framework is. It also makes sure we have an effective risk management process.

Compensation sub-committee

The compensation sub-committee sets the remuneration policy for all executive directors and the company's chairman. It also signs off remuneration and incentive policies for the wider business.

International sub-committee

The international sub-committee develops the international strategy for our financial services platform. It's responsible for providing a complete enterprise solution for our clients around the world.

Nominations sub-committee

The nominations sub-committee assists the chairman to keep the composition of the board under review. Also, it leads the succession and contingency process for nominations to the board.
