Smart Labs FAQs

We sometimes invite people to participate in beta trials, so we can get feedback on new features before we launch them to a wider group.

How it works

Invitation

We invite a segment of scheme members to participate in a beta trial.

Participation

We use analytics and AB tests to understand the effectiveness of our designs.

Feedback cycles

We use our findings to make design improvements. Successful betas get launched on the Smart platform.

Common questions

Why isn't my beta trial working?
There are a few reasons why it might not be working. It might be down for maintenance, you might be outside of the time period, or you might not be part of the trial group. Don't worry if a beta trial is not working for you - it's just an optional extra. Everything that you need to do with your pension can be done using your main Smart Pension account.

I can't sign in?
If you've forgotten your Smart Pension account details, don't worry. You can contact customer services for help.

How do I opt out of beta trials?
If you sign up for beta trials and then you change your mind, email us and we'll remove you from the participant group. If you don't want to receive emails about beta trials, you can click "unsubscribe" in the footer of the emails.

How do I know it's safe?
The Smart Labs team is overseen by the Smart Pension Board of Trustees. They make sure we follow pension legislation and act in members' best interests at all times. If you receive an email that you feel is suspicious, you can contact customer services and they'll tell you if it's legitimate.
