People have pensions for their entire working lives. Over the decades, it is common for people’s contact details to change. This means people may stop receiving communications and forget about their pensions, particularly if only a small amount of money is involved. It’s in their interest to keep their details updated to ensure that important communications will always be received.
Scheme members often don't keep their contact and personal details up to date, which presents various operational difficulties and increases the chance of them losing track of their pension.
We believe that if we make it very easy for members to update their personal details then our targeted messages will deliver good conversion rates.
What we’re doing
We are in the process of building a React web app that members can sign-in to using oAuth. The Smart Pension API will be used to present and update their personal details.
This feature will be deployed as a closed beta trial with approximately 10,000 scheme members. Analytics will be captured and analysed to identify any opportunities for improvement. User feedback data will be captured via CSAT to understand how users feel about the feature.
